Guitar Apprenticeship Program

for students ages 13 – 19 yrs old
At least 1 year of prior guitar experience needed
Hands-on practice each week teaching younger students
Opportunities throughout the year to help out with classes and programs gaining valuable teaching experience
Book study using Intelligent Music Teaching by Bob Duke combined with teaching practicum will give both theoretical and practical foundation for teaching (all while getting to know other guitar enthusiasts in a fun and warm atmosphere)
Focus on developing the all-important soft skills needed to succeed in teaching and life
Plenty of opportunities to improve your own guitar skills along the way – you don’t need to be an advanced guitarist already to enter this program but should have some basics under your fingers
